Growing up, my parents had tattoo parties. That inspired me, but it wasn't until 1999 that i picked up a real tattoo machine.
I tattooed a little here and there on friends, but it wasn't enough. Everyone wanted more tattoos. You can't explain the feeling
you get when you've done with a tattoo, and see your client smiling and thanking you for the great art. That's 1 reason why
I wanted to work in a tattoo studio.
I got my break in 2000 after going to the local tattoo studio in Lawrenceburg,TN. Jim Mattox (Snake)the owner of Quad
Cities Tattoo, took me on as an apprentice. I worked there for 2 years. Then I moved to my home town Toledo,Ohio. I worked
on my second apprentiship with "Mother Nature" an"Bear" owners of AncientArt Tattoos. They are great
artists as well as great people. During the 2 years,I was in Toledo, I had the privelge of working with a lot of great artists
and learning differen techniques.
I came back to Tennessee in March 2004. I worked with Larry Demoss, owner of New Needle Tattoo in Columbia.
I was lucky to be able to open the doors to my own tattoo studio Sept. 2005. After Jan. 2006 I will be looking for
other artists. Come by to see me and bring your portfolio.
